I started hosting tufting workshops in March 2024 in my 28 sq.m. studio. After a year and a half there, it was time to move.
The new space is almost 60 sq.m. and can currently host up to 10 people. It is equipped with everything needed for tufting workshops (including backup and more advanced equipment), which means I can now accommodate even larger private and corporate events. For regular workshops, however, I will still keep the group size capped at 8 people.

Almost simultaneously with the move, I also started working with wool yarn. At the moment, I have more than 80 wool yarn colors available. While that's already a huge selection, I can't stop collecting new shades and am always looking to add more! Acrylic yarn is still available as well, with around 80 colors to choose from, especially if you're looking for brighter, more vibrant colors and a softer feel.

The swatches shown in the picture demonstrate how each yarn color will look in a finished rug, making it much easier to plan your color palette during the workshop.

The workshop process remains largely the same. I always pre-draw the designs before the workshop, so tufting can begin almost immediately after a short introduction and tutorial. The workshops are just as beginner-friendly as ever, and no previous experience is needed.
After tufting, trimming, and gluing on the first day, participants can either return on another day to finish their rug and take it home straight away, or leave it with me. In that case, I will complete it within approximately two weeks, and it will be ready for pickup.

Many other things have stayed the same as well. All frames are equipped with protective screens to help prevent accidental contact with the frame nails, air purifiers run continuously to keep the air clean, and coffee, tea, and candy are always available for participants.

There are still a few exciting additions on the way, the biggest one being an open studio concept. The idea is to offer designated hours each week when people can freely use the studio, most likely with an hourly fee. This should be particularly interesting for more experienced tufters who want access to the equipment and workspace.
Other planned improvements include increasing the maximum capacity to 12 participants and making the mirror area more attractive and photo-friendly. The first steps toward these upgrades are coming very soon!
